1

Deep through oceans far and wide

To find our souls we sail

A spirit judged us for our pride

Now ship and sea's our jail

2

6D The first we found was in a jar,

4C When broke, the sky turned red,

5C The next was bartered through bazaar,

2S And twelve months the winds were dead

3

6C The sirens failed to sink the ship

6H But foiled by budding love

5S The new winds made us well equip

3H But romance drowned like a dove

4

5H A new port welcomed us with booze

3C But chased us when they learned

5

2C

Into the jail, they slammed the door

And threw away the key

I looked on over to my crew

And they looked back to me

We waited by the grates each night

Through days and months and year

No person come to judge our fates

And guards now disappear

We yearned to go back to the sea

And cursed that spirit's soul

But still we're trapped in prison keep

And cannot pay our toll
