Day 1

D4: 4, Floating Island

D8: 2, Desert Island

D6: 6, Moral Choice,

%D: 50, Safe

Diary,

Today there was another island out there. This is the third one this month. I don't know what happened to make them all get stranded but they need to sort their shit out soon.

I remember the wild-life experts that came by and they told us not to interfere with them, but this one was so small and so barren. I wanted to shine the light out to help it, but I know that messing with these greater things is how we end up in these situations to begin with.

I wonder if this one is going to waste away like the last one. I didn't keep an eye on it since I remember the last one and that one was enough for a lifetime.

Day 2

D4: 3, Spirits

D4: 3, Cursed Crew

D6: 5, Challenge the spirit to a test of wills

%D: 34 Safe

Diary,

That same ghost is back. The one that stands in front of the fire and just points and howls about needing to be whole.

I searched all over the damn place and there isn't nothing there! No bodies, no restless spirits, even the witches couldn't find nothing except an initial 'R' which I'm guessing was his name back in life.

The only thing I could do was look him dead in the eyes and continue to eat my supper as he pointed and howled.

Ain't nothing there. Ain't nothing there. Eventually he'll fade away in the morning, but I'll be up all night listening to him. I need to get some better earplugs or something. Or call a damned priest since the witches couldn't do shit, but none of them like coming out here. They say it's damned or cursed or something.

Day 3

D4: Floating Island

D8: 4, Aquatic

D6: 6, Moral Dilemma

%D: 17, Safe

Diary,

Another little island came by today, this one was mostly water. I don't know what kind but I could see  there were fish and other creatures in it. This one was barely limping along like the other ones.

As soon as that seawater hits that pond, it will most likely destroy all the life inside it. It's a damn shame that we can't do anything about it. I can't even call in any experts as they won't install a phone line out here since it's too damn expensive. The radio is only for emergencies too, so I can't go using that.

I feel like a fool spinning my wheels, doing  nothing and watching the world go by. But what else is there to do? What else is there to do?

Day 4

D4: 3, Spirits

D4: 1, Ghost Ship

D6: 3, Judgment

%D: 39, Safe

Diary,

There's something down there. There is something down there. That ghost was right!

I… I'll start at the beginning.

I don't know what it was but there was another spirit that rowed up on shore today. It was one of the previous keepers, one who… one who they said went mad, whatever that means.

Anyway, they were a ghost, I could tell because I could see through them and they had flames for eyes, you know the usual ghost stuff. But they took one look at me, and decked me right in the face! Can you believe it!

They went about criticizing me in how everything was wrong. How all the equipment was wrong, how the light wasn't working, which isn't my fault! But how I needed to do a better job at everything, and how come I didn't have any cats here to help with the mice, which we got rid of a long time ago.

Then they asked about the emergency tunnels, and I said, "What tunnels?" And apparently they were building emergency tunnels under the water to get to the mainland incase of storms.

Well, no one ever knew about them and no one ever did nothing about them either, since as far as I know they aren't there!

But then they asked about the "Bones" and I said "What bones?" And that's when they hit me. We went back and forth like this for a while, and, turns out, did you know you can punch a ghost? Anyway, other stuff just went through it, but you can punch em real good!

I got one decent hit before they beat the shit out of me. And then they decided that maybe it was better if I didn't know. So I got the shit kicked out of me for nothing, and now I know there's a dead body here somewhere. But since the ghost was real old, I guess the body is too, so I'm not too worried about there being a recent murder.

It's probably R anyway, and if I can get him exercised then I don't need to worry about some 100 year old murder or whatever.

Day 5

D4: 2, Creature

D6: 5, Naiad

D6: 3, Monstrous Threat

%D: 41, Safe

Diary,

One of the water women came above the surface and stayed for a bit on the island. She didn't look too pleased that I was there, which, I don't know why, they know that there's a lighthouse and an inhabitant there.

She was dressed in full military regalia, complete with medals made of shell and pearls, and she had a long hooked spear with her.

I had to tell her that this island was neutral ground and she could only stay for an hour before it was breaking the treaty, and that she couldn't use it for scouting or whatever. NOw that I think about it, that's probably why she was angry to see me, she didn't want to get caught.

She was pretty mean, too, and she hissed at me with all her teeth every time I tried to explain that she had to leave.

Eventually I just gave up and let her do whatever she wanted, but I kept her in my sight. She did leave right as I started approaching her as the hour was up. She dove right back into the ocean and I didn't see her the rest of the day.
