Game Description
Sacred Forge is a game about creating weapons using the 5 elements: fire, water, earth, air, and metal to create a weapon of legend. Each weapon has a set amount of destiny and through each of the seven steps of forging the weapon, you must try to keep the sword as balanced as possible if you wish to create the perfect blade. This game is also fairly short and will take around 15-20 min depending on how much description you write for each step.

Who are you?
Roll: 6 An other worldly figure
A decision was made by Value, Endings, and Patterns and a being was brought into existence. A body of metal and fire for blood--it was chained to their forge as much as it was the forge and through it and itself created the weapons they would need to secure their future.
Where is your forge?
Roll: 2 A fortress
Holy ruins utop an unreachable mesa far to the south of the word and surrounded by deep ocean. This place was created for the gods by the gods when they waged holy war on the Empire of Malhal.
What Threatens?
Roll: Demons threatening to bring about the end of the world
A Decision made in sleep, desecrated beings known as Demons threaten the gods and mortals. Knowing these creatures are the only way to destroy the Gods, the Empire of Malhal has found ways to secure them for their own uses, through weapons, through people, and through the unholy forging of the Desecrated script on wretched beings of souls, iron, and demons themselves imprisoned onto resolute tracks.

He came to me, a simple crown upon his head, shoulders square and eyes determined and asked me for a sword and I could not reject what I was forged for. I told him it wouldn’t be easy and he accepted. I told him he had to get me my materials, and he accepted. Then I told him he would regret it and he still accepted. Then I sent him to the caves below, the ones that barely have air to breath to fetch me a crystal that grew and glowed under the salt and brine.

I held it in my hands, across my stony lap in a quiet prayer, calling to those who can Decide if this blade is worthy. What kind of ritual
A blade of thick earth and fire must be blessed by the sea. I took it out to the edge of the cliff, as far as the tether would reach, and held it high above my head. The light shone across the water. I stood there in silence until the blade no longer gleamed and the sun set for the day.

A being from deep within the new forest, decided in a dream. They had no use for gods except as a means to their own ends. But they too were in danger from the demons and so from the Value Incarnate’s own vault they stole away the sacred gold and handed it to me in a sack made of leaves and dirt. Their goals were the same and I could not deny them my service.

Their smile was tense when I presented it to them and they knew that this was not the blade of legend they had hoped. But still they thanked me, paid me, and vanished among the blades of grass in the mesa. I hoped they were not a fool who thought that blade’s value was in it’s first strike.

This was a community ritual but one that I could not perform alone here with her. I wrote it out in my thick scrawled handwriting and presented the paper to her. She was to take it back to her temple, with her and the other acolytes and priests and all those she could find and anoint it with the holy oil used for trees, each tracing a finger along the curve and thinking of its purpose.

This too was a glaive to fell the trees. This too was a blade that would grow in power. Each life it took it would become easier for the blade to take another.
The acolyte did not know a heroic blade from a common blade and accepted it without question. It was unbalanced but good. It will serve her well but it will not be a deciding blade.

Who approaches you?
All the waking gods are here,
All of them but one,
They call upon my sacred role,
To do what must be done
To forge a knife to stop a god,
To kill their sleeping kin,
To pierce the heart and rend the dream,
And trap them deep within
Sacrificing hallowed blood,
All have gifted rue,
Voices laughed at lost lament,
Eager to see it through,
Mine was last, a final choice--
Embrace their task and lose my voice
